The Boundaries and Demographics section of the Planning Department includes six members of the Planning Department staff.  The boundaries section facilitates the boundary change process including the Advisory Boundary Committee, demographics, enrollment projections, trend analysis, enrollment verification, school boundary assignments and other information related to school-county demographics.

Advisory Boundary Committee (ABC) Members & Policy 5.012

The Advisory Boundary Committee (ABC) is made up of appointed volunteers from the community who meet on a regular basis to review enrollment projections and demographic trends guided by Board Policy 5.012. During the year, the ABC Committee provides recommendations to the Superintendent and School Board members who are then responsible for making final decisions about adjusting and/or creating School Boundaries. This process occurs on an annual basis and is overseen by the Planning Department.
