The International Baccalaureate May 2020 examinations previously scheduled between April 30 and May 22 for Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme candidates have been canceled.

Cambridge International has announced that they will not run their international examinations in the May/June 2020 series in any country. This includes Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge O Level, Cambridge International AS & A Level, Cambridge AICE Diploma and Cambridge Pre-U.

The call went out on March 20, asking the community to help students in need of digital devices to transition to distance learning. In just 48 hours, Palm Beach County answered the call to action.

All services offered at the building including fingerprinting, student records, human resources, Choice and Career Options, and VPK will not be open to visitors.

The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County has partnered with Florida Power & Light Company, Comcast, Office Depot and the School District to ensure that all of our students in need will have internet access and devices for remote learning.

As schools and communities navigate the unprecedented challenges posed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Advanced Placement (AP) Program is supporting AP students with free, optional remote learning and at-home AP testing.

The School District of Palm Beach County is making every effort to ensure that our students’ educational opportunities continue while at home, as the Governor’s office and the Florida Department of Education have mandated schools remain closed through at least April 15.

SAT and ACTs scheduled for the coming months have been rescheduled or canceled. The ACT scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2020, has been moved to Saturday, June 13, 2020.

In response to Gov. Ron DeSantis' decision to close schools through at least April 15, the School District of Palm Beach County is assessing its families' needs for access to technology.

Students will continue to have access to i-Ready and SuccessMaker for remote digital learning.

Syndie White from Elbridge Gale Elementary was named Teacher of the Year. Ivey Colligan from Orchard View Elementary received the School-Related Employee of the Year award.

On March 1, 2020, Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order 20-51 directing a Public Health Emergency and statewide response protocol for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Students from 16 high schools convened at The Education Network studios in Boynton Beach for the 2020 Palm Beach County Academic Challenge Finals on February 12.

The School District of Palm Beach County was elated to see everyone's participation in Read Across America Day. Schools invited distinguished guests into their classrooms to read to their students and to stress the importance of reading every day.
