District’s National Merit Scholarship, Corporate-Sponsored Scholarship Winners Announced

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced that 14 School District of Palm Beach County seniors have won either its National Merit Scholarship or Corporate-Sponsored Merit Scholarships.

The National Merit Scholarship winners were selected as having the “strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies”.

The judging committee reviewed each student’s academic record, the difficulty level of subjects studied, grades earned, Preliminary SAT (PSAT) scores, contributions and leadership in school and community activities, an essay, and a recommendation from a high school official.
